Frequently Asked Questions about the Guntopia FFLdealerNet™

The FFLdealerNet™ Network provides a convenient service for buyers on Guntopia to choose a transfer dealer. Guntopia members choose a transfer dealer during their member registration. The following is how the FFLdealerNet™ Dealer is notified when they are selected by a buyer who has selected Guntopia's optional service of Secure Payment Handling:

When a firearm is purchased on Guntopia, the Seller (who are not FFL's) is directed to ship the firearm to the FFLdealerNet™ dealer as selected by the Buyer.

The dealer (this could be you) is notified by email of:

• the pending arrival of the firearm, and
• the Buyer’s purchase and contact information.

Upon the receipt of the firearm by the FFLdealerNet™ dealer, the dealer immediately contacts the Buyer for processing and delivery.

The dealer completes the following:

• The customary ATF login and logout of the firearm.
• Transfer the firearm by complying with all regulations and requirements to properly transfer the firearm to the buyer.
• Collect your transfer fee (as you listed on Guntopia during registration).
• Fax confirmation (simple form) to Guntopia that the firearm was properly transferred, or go online a complete the online form.

FFLdealerNet™ is a network of independently owned retail FFL gun shops across the country who are Independent Contractors for Guntopia to handle the transfer and delivery of firearms purchased on Guntopia.

Dealers in the network enjoy:

The FFLdealerNet™ dealer’s main duties are:

• Recording. The customary login and logout of the firearm in the ATF bound book as required by regulations.

• Lawful Transfer. Transfer the firearm to the buyer in accordance with all required regulations and laws.

• Fee. Collect your transfer fee.

• Safekeeping. Should there be a problem during the delivery process, the dealer is to hold onto the firearm in safekeeping until further instructions from Guntopia management. The disposition and ownership of the firearm belongs with Guntopia.com, Inc. The dealer does not get involved in disputes (and therefore protected), should they arise between the buyer and seller. (This only applies to where the buyer has selected Secure Payment Handling.)

Is There an Agreement to Sign?
